Press clipping and Jonathan Shaw’s photograph installed at Midlands Arts Centre, Birmingham

Upon entering the car park to mac you would have noticed a large scale photograph adorning the temporary hoardings. This piece of work was commissioned by Calthorpe Estates during the development of the Edgbaston Mill project in association with mac. The artwork was stolen only days after it was completed. Police are looking for members of the public to help them with their enquiries. Jonathan Shaw, principal lecturer said “I am very upset and I cannot understand why anyone would want to take it away from its display area. It is very sad, as it was only completed at the beginning of August and was due to be displayed for about a year.” Discussions are taking place with the insurance company to see what can be done about getting the artwork replaced.
