BBC Coventry & Warwickshire and Coventry University haved joined forces with Coventry Market to celebrate their 50th Anniversary in a very unique way. Coventry Market the Musical! is a 5 minute film composed and directed by Benjamin Till, starring the people of Coventry who work and shop there.
Media Production students from Coventry University formed 2 film crews on set. Siobhan Harrison, Creative Programmer from BBC Coventry & Warwickshire said “The film crews managed to pull off a horrificly complicated filming schedule with a cast of 100 amateurs with ease. The 10 students acted at all times with great professionalism and this was commented on several times by participants, visitors and staff.” The director Benjamin has heaped praise on them all and said “he would gladly hire them as crew again as they were so good.”

It is this weekend celebrating its thirtieth birthday with gala celebrations, televised concerts and fireworks. Coventry University and our Vice Chancellor are a big part of that.
